Isn't this a head high tackle?



To my eyes the ball hasn't lost contact with the hand when it hits the line (but then the Dorn clearly knocked on for our first). Maybe he was evening up for his earlier error.

It certainly does look high to me.

Based on the footage the VR looked at I was surprised a try wasn't given. However I was sat level to where Will attempted to ground the ball, and there was clear daylight between his hand and the ball!

I thought it was obvious from the TV replays that it was a throttle tackle. However, none of $ky's "experts" noticed. Agree with Thaler that the ball wasn't correctly grounded. But it should have been a penalty try to Quins. And probably Roberts should have been sin-binned.

But I don't like to whinge about refereeing decisions.

As Phil Clarke says, without a shred of supporting evidence, "They average out over the season".

8 point try even! Offence in the act of scoring. Not seen one of those for some time.

If its not high its a grapple tackle either way an offence

You're right about the grapple. As for the 8 point try:
