Just had a look on the Quins RU `Come All Within` website and there is a report of an interview with Mark Evans prior to last weeks Quins v Newcastle home game.......has the following to say re RL. Just thought it might be of interest given recent CEO rumours etc.


HQ: Time for my annual question on Rugby League and our rugby league cousins. How is that relationship developing? Anything new?

ME: Not really. Great win last night up at Headingley. 21-4 against Leeds Rhinos is probably their best result in Harlequin shirts. Commercially, it’s a long old road. It’s tough, but I’m pretty impressed with the new general manager. He’s a good solid sports pro, knows his stuff.

HQ: Still two separate entities?

ME: Oh yeah. Entirely.

I like the honesty and I agree the tone of it sucks, but maybe I'm just paranoid but I always thought that if it doesn't work out in the terms of the origional deal the union would just stuff us. They have only got us on board because they have (?had) so much debit. Still at least we are still going even if our shirts "look just like puke"

At least our shirts aren't as bad as the HKR away shirt, which looks like bright orange puke.
