South London Storm are looking to appoint a new Community Development officer and Community Rugby League coach to work within the South London Service Area for an initial period of three years, starting from September 2009. Community Development Officer Salary: Package up to £24,000 pa including benefits 3 year fixed term contract Community Rugby League Coach Salary: Package up to £20,000 pa including benefits 3 year fixed term contract About the Jobs: To deliver coaching to young people of all age groups in local schools, community and club settings within the South London service area To introduce leadership skills to young people To take a professional approach in the planning, preparation and organisation of coaching sessions To maintain a comprehensive schedule of coaching as established and administered by the South London service area About you: Will have experience of coaching children and young people. Preferred candidates should also hold: An RFL coaching qualification (preferred Level 2) Current Driving Licence Be computer literate Have high written and verbal communication skills Be able to motivate and inspire young people from all backgrounds Willing to work weekends and evenings on a regular basis Applicants for the Community Development Officer position will also be expected to have proven management and staff supervision skills and be able to lead and further develop our schools and junior club programs.
