The best combination for 1/6/7/9 : Fri Jul 31, 2009 7:59 am
We've undoubtedly lost momentum but I think we can get it back once we have a near full squad to choose from.
IMO the key decision for BM revolves around the dummy half:
Kaye's distribution and speed of thought from DH are letting us down. If Randall is fit, he should play DH for 60 mins and let Danny Orr act as relief DH. If Randall isn't fit, Orr, Gale and maybe Skee should share the DH duties. No. 9 is the key decision-maker and he *must* be a ball player.
We began the year with Randall and Orr sharing the DH role and I expect our win:loss ratio with Randall and Orr in the side is vastly superior to any combination involving Kaye.
Make the tough decision, BM, and let Kaye develop in the reserves.
My starting 1/6/7/9 for the run-in:
1. Gale (with Wells switching from wing to FB when don't have possession)
6. Dorn
7. Orr
9. Randall
Relief 1/6/7/9:
14. Sharp for 9. Randall
1. Sharp
6. Dorn
7. Gale
9. Orr
Get Purdo back and we have yet another option at first/second receiver.
