OK.....another season at TW2 kicks off in just over 5 weeks and there seems to be mixed feelings about how the team will go. For me, I expect another lower half finish and there is a real fear that we could actually finish last.....something that will make it all the worse if a heartland team gets ejected from SL.....these boards will become unbearable.
Off the pitch the club is again in disarray. The useless GM who was promoted to CEO for no reason I can fathom, has left and again, David Hughes will have to step into the breach until another "leader" can be found. With the cutbacks that have been made with regard to decent signings, it remains to be seen if any money will be made available to market the game. The RFL are supposedly "assisting", but they have done this in the past with no tangible benefits seen.
So, will this be the year that we record our lowest positional finish and have the lowest average gates? I believe it will be and for all the talk of getting a squad of young local talent together, we will be looking at trying to avoid last place and another bout of last minute free ticket offers to try to bump up the average gates

We managed the first bit last season, and we had close to our lowest gates. I think only Halifax have ever averaged worse in SL but we could challenge that this year.

Still, I thought you would at least be happy with PB's departure.

I think Halifax have the record since 2000 (2,976).....but I believe the Cumbrians and Parisians pre 2000 may give them a run for their money. Either way....I believe 3,232 is the lowest Seasons average for London since SL began......

You'd think wouldn't you......problem is I take no pleasure in being 100% right about him from the day he was announced as GM.........I have no doubt David Hughes is a very intelligent man...you don't get where he is in his professional life by being thick....but some of the decisions that have been made over the 6 years we've ben at the stoop beggar belief

If a club is hemorrhaging cash to the tune of £30k a week during the year or £55k a week over the season then the simplest way to get your £1,500,000 back is to find 150,000 more fans at a tenner each. Problem is that's a 300% increase in fan numbers and someone thinks a viral video and a few ticket holders is the solution

When I posted my "opus" in September 2009 I was full of hope and expectation for the future of the club...........15 months later and can honestly say I am totally and utterly depressed at the state of things in TW2 and I doubt we will attract the calibre of CEO that we need to turn this around

You actually went looking back three years to prove a point about yourself. Have you received a formal diagnosis as yet?

Yeah. I am officially nuts about the London Broncos and care very much about what happens to them. I could have gone back further, but my doctor thinks it would be too much of a strain on my heart.
