600 ST holders.....they'd need to invest aminimum of 250 quid each a year over 5 years to make it viable outside SL, or a Grand each if the team wereto remain in SL.......I'd doubt you'd get25 people to put their hands up to the cheaper option and less than a half dozen for the more expensive option.
The club is reaping what it has failed to sow over 17 years of SL seasons......they never understood that marketing was key...even after they finished 2nd and made the CC Final, fans didn't flock to the club.
Since the RFL made Lenegan relinquish his shares and let DH have control, this club has been spirraling out of control........bad appointments, bad decisions, people retained when they should never have been employed...I mean to say, employing a guy who saw attendances fall at his last job to a role that required significant growth of attendances
The RFL should look at investing 5 million over a 20 year period (we pay them back 250k a year from our SKY alowance) in the New Brentford stadium....we get 13 home games a year for 20 years, Brentford get 25% of their costs covered....SKY need to take DH's shares over and market the crap out of the team....the club would need to get to 10,000 fans within 10 years and be looking at honours within 5....
All of the above can be achieved with the right people in place...and I am sad to say that David Hughes and Gus Mackay don't qualify....it would seem that the majority of people on here think it's nearly the endof the road.....I for one am puzzled as to how the RFL can sit idly by and let this happen.
