Fact...An opportunity appeared in the shape of an offer for a WCC warm up game in 2013 but was declined on the grounds of costs (as reported in the media).
Fact....TNT, rag that still targets transient barstaff and whom appear on our shirt sleeves have covered the WCC game in their current issue....as has the Australian Times. This,without doubt, would have been the major target audience if the game had been accepted.
Fact...it is widely accepted that there are 300,000 Aussies living in England at any one time with the majority of these in London....3% of these would have been sufficient when combined with our existing 1,300 regulars to achieve a ticketed revenue in excess of 200k GBP.
In my professional opinion, the club have most assuredly shown their hand with regard to the future by turning down this opportunity. They have not been and seem incapapble of becoming prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. The CEO seems to think that 2k of extra income from 2 course meals is the answer, whilst the Chairman seems hell bent on pursuing his flawed model of spending to the cap and ignoring all other aspects of the Business.

...patently, these are not the fans we are looking to attract.......we have no need of the social networking and disposable income and we most deffinitely won't to waste time playing to their jingoistic nature when abroad
Twickenham (the bigger stadium) November 2nd 2013.....there'll be a minimum of 30,000 transient bar staff in attendance that day paying on average 3 times what a ticket to the storm would cost.
