And either way, how does David Hughes stop Koukash from pinching him from London?

When we played Widnes last year I was speaking to Terry O'Connor and he said Dixon was the closest thing to Robinson he had ever seen. I hope we can keep him but I think all of the top teams will be trying to sign him at the end of the season.

Retaining the services of Kieran Dixon needs to be the highest priority of David Hughes.

If he lets Kieran go to another club, Hughes will alienate a huge chunk of the clubs fans, guarantee their non-attendance at future games, and help ensure the club's demise.

Im in the corner which says this team has 'killed' the club and this is going to be our last season anyway. The Doc can have Dixon and anyone else for that matter at the end of the season. If he wants Randall and Witt he can have them now! NO FEE

In the higly unlikely sceario that we will continue i fail to see what DH can do about it if he is out of contract(does anyone know?) Im sure DH will make a good offer if he's OOC but if Dixon takes the money and goes to another clube - or a bigger one, i cant see the fans blaming DH. He can't force him to sign. If he's still under contract i think DH will not release him but hope that the new players that will inevitably come when the current OOC rubbish are released will gell with Dixon and give him one last throw of the dice to get success. Im not holding my breath bearing in mind the recruitment has to mainly come from OZ - where even the the top SL clubs are struggling to attract quality players now, and UP North where the players dont want to move from the M62 down to the expensive South. We don't have London weighting even if we could afford it to entice them. Never before has it been clearer that our future (if we have one) depends on developing our own. Although how we can hold onto them, god only knows.

Why would DH give TR a 2 year deal and extend Gowers if we weren't going to be here.

What complete tosh. If our best player goes to a bigger , better club fans arent gonna turn on the club. LMS went and we all understood.

I reckon that DH believed like the rest of us that this season this team would play to it's potential - get off to a good start by beating Widnes and continue on an upward spiral. The hardcore fans and waverers who gave up after the RP days would return on the basis of TR getting this team to perform. Im sure DH believed we would cover the losses for two more seasons on the assumption that with a team fighting for the payoffs the fans would get back to around 3,000 +.
If we go back to losing again next week and continue the same way DH knows that if he gives up at the end of this season to cut his losses and the broncos are cut from SL, all contracts will be void whether they are for two years or ten!

LMS is a good player, but not a superstar in the making. Dixon is the latter. LMS is replaceable, Dixon is not. There are no other Kieran Dixon's waiting around to be signed up.

If Dixon keeps on hos current trajectory, not only other SL clubs will be after him, but also NRL clubs. He must be retained at least against the grasping claws of other SL clubs.

The club has a few players it needs to unload (e.g. Randall and Witt) and a few it definitely needs to retain (e.g. Dorn, Robertson, Sarginson, Clubb and Bailey). However only Gower and Dixon are irreplaceable.
