Can't see any online, also what is the area like, is it a ground we can develop into our own SL standard venue?

Tidy little 3,500 seater (1,600 standing) ground that the neighbours didn't know was being built until it was too late. Therefore, I doubt any expansion to 12,000 seats will be accepted by them.
There seems (from the pictures of the weekends kick a bout) to be little if any fencing/hoardings around the perimeter of the pitch......I doubt the RFL will be happy with that as it does seem like you can jus step onto the grass.
Banqueting for 500 people, a Gymnasium and as far as I can make out, 2 bars, this is a tidy little ground that suits a non-league football club but wouldn't do if Barnet ever climb up the league again.

If London Broncos are to survive here, it will be as a Championship club at best.

Although Gus has done a splendid job in reducing our crowds to the state where HE HAS NEVER HAD A GATE BIG ENOUGH TO FILL THIS PLACE, if we were to be allowed to play here in Superleague, then the likes of Wigan, St Helens and Leeds would need to receive limited tickets and would need to be confined to a terrace at one end.

I would think that the Police/RFL would require some form of barrier between the fans and the pitch itself, as it would only take one idiot trying to burn his shirt or shouting hateful comments at players yards away that would see us evicted.

It is a sorry state of affairs that Gus has driven the club down this route, but there's little that can be done about it now unless my Lotto numbers come up. :DEPRESSED:

We had a perfectly good venue. It only became unsuitable when the club made no effort (either on or off the pitch) to fill it.

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

And at the bottom of the times series link there is an article about the lease Barnet have which currently does not allow professional football to be played there. They can play in the conference as classed as semi pro next year but need the lease addressed if they were to be promoted.

May explain why no news if we really are considering this as home.

hello

Thanks, doesn't look too bad actually. It looks like if another stand or two could be developed when Barnet move out we can really call it our own and have a decent stadium with stands up to the pitch.

Why a deal hasn't been announced is slightly worrying, it was also reported on here that Tony Kleanthous would put some money in the Broncos, anyone got an update on that?

Well looking at Total RL fans forum on the main RL subforum (Broncos thread)
we have alledgedly given this location a knock back currently. The poster concerned is a regular who is very supportive of us and I have no reason looking at his previous posts to think his remarks are intended to wind up.
He is also involved in the running of a Club in London.

The rumour seems to be that we'd take over the ground in ten years when Barnet move to their new home, wherever that may be. Problem is, the council only gave permission for the stadium for ten years so we'd have nothing to take over.

The whole thing sums up the club's performance over the last 6-8 years.
