It's difficult to be sure who has been "VFM" when you don't know how much the players have been paid, but my vote goes to Mark Bryant.

In the 2 years he was with us, he only missed 2 SL games (one of which was a ban), made the most carries and off-loads (in the latter, he was 6th in the overall comp), he was our 2nd top tackler (missed very few tackles and well under our team average for misses) was our 3rd best metre maker and hardly ever gave away a penalty.

Solid but unspectacular, he was also a very nice guy who (it seems to me) tried his best under very difficult personal and proffessional circumstances.

BTW, some of our players SL appearance percentages make depressing reading :-

Colbon - 21 games out of 54 (40%)
Cook - 30/54 ( 56%)
Grady - 9/27 (33%)
Howell - 100/162 (62%)
Rodney - 28/54 (52%)
Robbo - 35/54 (65%)


Oh for a Kevin Sinfield.

Has to be Clubb.

He was as loyal as loyal can be.

Until ... err ... he wasn't anymore.

For the season I would agree Mark Bryant is the only one who comes really close to their true value. I would then put Dorn and Melling as second place VFM. For short term stay I would say Soward earned his money

Jamie Soward - worth every penny and then some. We'd have finished bottom without him, what a difference if we'd had him all season (and an uninjured Kieran Dixon)

Shame it is restricted to players. Surely the Warder has been worth every penny!

Jarrod Hickey. 100% effort while on the pitch for us.......

However over last few years have to agree about Bryant. Would add Bailey as a player who gave us value for money.

When I think of Bailey, I think of a good player, but for some reason I feel like he was injured quite a lot of the time. Besides, he would of had quite a salary.
