I want to ask a very big favour on behalf of my son Luke, who is a fellow London Broncos fan. Luke is running the London Marathon this month with the aim of raising funds for the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association ( PSPA). PSP is a neurological disorder with similarities to Parkinson’s Disease, and at any one time there are thought to be 4,000 sufferers in the UK. Loss of nerve cells in the brain leads to difficulties with movement, vision, balance, speech and swallowing. It is the disease the comedy actor Dudley Moore had ( I'm sure those of a similar vintage to myself will remember him - young 'uns will have to ask their grandparents!) , and at present there is no cure. The PSP Association offers information and support to sufferers and their families, and funds research into treatments and ultimately a cure for PSP.
This is Luke’s first crack at running a marathon having run the Royal Parks half marathon a couple of times - he would gratefully appreciate ANY donations / sponsorship from the RL community. I’ve included a link to his Just Giving website and a link to the PSPA,

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to all who have sponsored Luke so far, and that there's still time to make a donation at his JustGiving website. Any and all will be gratefully received,

Just to let you know that Luke competed the London Marathon yesterday in a time of 4 hour 31 minutes - he had been aiming for about 4 hours but twisted his knee a bit around the 18-19 mile mark, and that slowed him down a bit!
Many thanks to all for your support, interest and sponsorship! Steve has very kindly featured Luke on the front page of the LBSA website.
