Another shoot yourself in the foot moment from the club. the Player Awards, To hold them at such short notice and on the same night as The Scholars pre Cup Final game seems crazy.
Have to question why you bother to sponsor a player, as attending the awards was part of the package. I know a few who were at Wembley yesterday were equally disappointed and the thought was not to bother next season.

Have you not learnt yet fans are just cash dispensers to the club and of no other consequence, we used to be able to buy tickets for the awards followed by a dinner and dance. Wasn't there a couple of trophy's which the supporters club and someone else donated in commemoration of his wife who was a founder member of the Bronco's from the FUlham days. What happened to that trophy and the supporters trophy?

Yes there was trophy which was presented by Barry Warren in memory of his wife Gwen for supporters player of the year. The last time I can remember this trophy being presented was on the pitch after the last game of the season at the Stoop. It has been years since presentation night has been open to supporters.

I only found out by email, and that they were sorry I couldn't make it! I never knew it was even planned!

I was told that an event for sponsors was being planned?

It makes you wonder what actually goes through the organisers mind. I can only think of three possible reasons 1) its the only date available @ Trailfinders, 'lets do it regardless and if they can come great' 2) it was organised a while ago and through sheer incompetence invites were left to the last minute 3) with all the personnel changes back of house, it was oversighted, but in this case, whats Jason doing.

If you remember last season, when the LBSA awards were made after the game at Widnes in rather poor circumstances.
There has yet to be a vote for them this season and as I understand it,the promise was that things would be done properly this year.
Whilst I can understand the timing of the event, the players having the weekend off after, but to coincide with Scholars big Friday night game and giving such short notice was very poor. But what we have come to expect!

We WILL be awarding the third LBSA Player Awards on the pitch after the Fev game (not in the street like last year!) Vote open the members very soon

Perhaps the LBSA should organise a do away from the club? seeing as it was excluded from he Academy awards night - for crying out loud the LBSA sponsors the Academy! Would this happen with a commercial sponsor rather than a supporters group?
I don't know, maybe hire that pub near Scotch Common ( The Duke of something other?) after the last home game, invite all the players and their families and have a proper knees up.
Sod the club management as they appear to have difficulty organising a proverbial drink up at somewhere like Fuller's eh?
