That's both Cumbrian teams relegated from the Championship. I will miss those 700 mile round trips. I think it is a poor reflection on the game that this has happened. A few heads need to be banged together to sort things out, both in Cumbria and the RFL.
As I do not think we will be in Super League next season. It does look like a trip to Toulouse is on the agenda. Looking forward to that.

If Red Hall cant get it right in England how do they expect to build the game in Canada and France. Nice couple of away trips for them

It's not the RFL responsibility to build successful clubs. If the investment, commercial and emotional will is there, then any club should be able to thrive.

Plum i'm not sure what you say is true. In Aus the NRL have built up clubs that had added to the comp, the Storm being the most notable

They should have put down their differences and merged the two clubs at the launch of Super League. Might have had some success.

The aussies also have franchise which never really worked for us in the UK so you can't really compare

Truth is, we will Never be a National Sport in the UK, we have to accept now it will always remain mainly Northern, if ever Sky get tired we will return to being part time again. Lately I have switched off TV games before the end I have been bored, nothing excites me any more and there are few superstars. Len Kileen was my boyhood hero, his kicking was unbelievable, last week Sneyd kicked one from just inside the Wigan half and the commentators went will, Killeen kicked them regular inside his own half and the ball then was heavy and grounds were bad in winter, thankful I just saw the last few years as a kid of Vollenhoven.

Most people are getting bored because they show the same half dozen teams over and over. This prevents smaller clubs getting air time, it prevents a true reflection of how many clubs there are in RL. Not showing championship games stops people realising there are more than SL clubs around and finally the two idiots who commentate are enough to stop you tuning in unless you are an ardent supporter. On the bright side there will be one idiot less next season. Maybe someone may get the message championship and ALL SL clubs need to be seen to realise it is still a great game.

I must agree, I get so fed up with Wigan being on TV most weeks, if they are on I do not bother watching.
To show Championship games would be great. Cannot see it happening on Sky though. The rights need to go to another broadcaster who will show the games.

I thought when Sky put their bid in,stated championship games to be televised from 2017 onwards.
