I think Channing cannot be fully fit. He was in the nineteen against Wire but was left out.

What on earth was the penalty count in this game??!! And for anyone who knows where did you get the info. Scott Mikalauskas was rampant with the whistle today almost ruining the game.

Not at the game so I can't comment.
I will say one thing though, I have never seen a referee offside, never seen a ref knock on, or tackle above the shoulders, or lay on in the tackle, or have a had in as the player is trying to play the ball. The ref only blows the whistle because the players have infringed the rules of the game!
Just summat to think about.

I cant confess to how true that is though as the crowd is also given as 794 when their were less than 500 there so somebody is telling porkies.

Dont forget season ticket holders are counted in the crowds who have paid for a ticket and crowd consists of paid tickets whatever means and no freebies.

I believe someone did a statistical analysis of the performance of referees in games featuring London both home an away a few years back.......it showed that London generally received fewer penalties than their opponents in most games at a London venue and nearly always at an away venue.
Nobody is saying that referees deliberately pick on us. It's just it seems that referees do some more prone to pinging us for an offence and then ignoring the same offence when it's reciprocated.....maybe it's the "appeals' for foul play in a friendly accent as opposed to an Aussie/London one?

I find it hard to fathom that a professional outfit, at home, playing on its preferred plastic pitch would be pinged 60/40 over an amateur outfit who will have tired in the last 20 due to said plastic pitch and playing against full timers.

I get your defense of referees, as do the NRL who are now coming down hard on any dissent and I believe the issue lies with the RFL, who can well afford to have better coaching, mentoring and refresher courses for referees.

Maybe someone on here has the stats for the season? How many times we've been pinged in Champ/8's games as opposed to being given a penalty?
