Betfred now become title sponsor for both The Championship and League One. In addition to their Sponsorship of Super League. Is this really good news or is it being given as such. Is there any financial input or have the RFL just lumped the Championship and League 1 into the Betfred deal because they had no other sponsor?
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

Assumption borne of the reality that if there was any money involved we'd have heard about it.....but you carry on believing in the tooth fairy if you want.
so To dispel the assumptions. Reported figures for the Betfred deal 750k last year rising to 850k this year then 950k next year. On top of that 150k for championship and league one, so this year a total deal of 1 million. No figures given for next year for championship and league 1. So yes there is more money for the deal not the same amount spread further as some suggested.
How much were Kingston press putting in anyone know?

The deal with Betfred, who also sponsor the World Snooker Championship, is thought to be worth between £850,000 and £900,000 a year, compared to around £750,000 a year from First Utility.

Now...you see the blue UNDERLINED text above. That's a link to reputable news outlet. Have you got one for your "extra" cash, because Rimmer would have declared an extra tenner at the press conference if he's got it.....you've not dispelled anything, but instead continued to pass your opinion off as fact.

exactly....no figures given

No...because as you have just said, NO FIGURES GIVEN!

Figures were not released IIRC, but it was at the time when the RFL claimed lots of little sponsors (spoup/bingo etc) were better than 1 major one....it seems they've gone off that idea as well as done a complete U-Turn on betting companies.......

Nope...what follows is wrong.....100% wrong.

Last Updated: 14/10/16 11:49am Dog yr thread is a long way out of date. The figure for 2018 season for championship is given as £150k, nothing quoted for next year. The numbers for last year £750k this year £850k and next year £950k come from the rugby league press, figures in today’s news not 2016. The 150k is on top of the figures above. Not opinion, figures reported in today’s rugby league press.
is thought to be worth between £850,000 and £900,000 a year, compared to around £750,000 a year from First Utility. The interesting words above “thought to be worth”, figures I quoted for last year are what was actually invested! So actual money spent not a projected, so no reason to disbelieve the figures. Betfred total sponsorship investment this year for all 3 leagues to be 1 million.
