Kieran did look like it was a hamstring. It took an age to take him off, which was not good.
As for performance. We started with quite a strong team. Who looked rather rusty and took a while to get going. The weather conditions which were awful did not help with lots of handling errors.
The youngsters are certainly keen and very quick. They defended several sets on our line without yielding. After the game you could see how stoked they were. They way the changes worked at the end we had a very young team on the pitch.
Battye seems to have put a few pound on. Sid seemed to have benefitted from his loan spell. He scored a great try. It was a pre season friendly and was used as such. I am sure against Hull KR, Wardy will take it much more seriously.
We do look a bit light as a team. We have to hope that our experienced players stay fit and we can bring the youngsters on under their guidance.
I have to say that the new kit man is no Steve Magee .
