But, think everyone on here does agree that some marketting might help the club. But again its up to the club to decide what it can and cannot do.

It's always easier said than done! I asked why we never have match report photos in 'League Express' I was assured every home match they are sent, I asked League Express owner why photos are not used, as we chat often, he apologised, I will to use them more, last weekends game No Photo's in our report?

Our best exposure for me was at The Stoop, The World Challenge games, we used Capital Radio & it worked, but that costs! Our current home? it is worth spending money on?

We were. The broncos slept for the first half then hammered the part timers in the second. Then someone mentioned the crowd and as they were part of the weekends event, that rabbit hole opened and we gladly followed Alice.
I know apologists like you would rather discuss how a professional side a season out of the top flight only managed 40 minutes against a bottom half 2nd tier side, citing their expert analysis from years of being involved in the sport, but the alarming decent into Sunday league size crowds is somewhat more key to the survival of the game as a viable option in the capital.
When Hughes puts his wallet away, the kids coming through have the skolars or Union as a potential paymaster, or they head north. That's the reality of what happens once doddery Dave buggers off.
The best way to replace that lost revenue is through self sustainability. Whilst another sugar daddy would be nice, they come with massive negatives as shown by Swintons finest and the race horse owner at Salford. So we must look to the fans.....the fans pay on the door and the fans are an audience that can be sold to sponsors.
If you forget the past and look solely to the future, then Hughes must clear the decks of both the CEO and Monkey Boy. Until he does that, then the lapsed fans will not return. Yes....they'll pop in to have a gander at Wimbledon, MAYBE, but not more than once at th insane pricing on offer. It's like Hughes has given them a revenue target and they've simply hiked prices to meet it. Now that hasn't worked they're stacking it high and flogging it cheap. Too little too late.
Wimbledon game one should be free. Hughes should cover the cost himself. Contact everyone, regardless of data protection. An invitation to come along Free if Charge and see a side you once bought from, registered to be contacted by or entered a comp with is hardly likely to get the privacy bloke too bothered. It's not like well try and flog them a time share when they get there. But this is the key.
Monitor who opens your email. Who clicks on the link and who redeems their voucher and then keep the conversation going. The bald sparrow or whatever marketing company monkey boy uses can easily template such a campaign (you'd hope). Treat the fans like customers because as whiny and moany as we can be, that's what we are.
Back to the game.
We won. We might make the play offs. We won't go up and personally I'd rather the club spent the next 6 months plotting a marketing strategy for 2022 with qualified staff or volunteers than look to flog cheap tickets out of the back of a reliant robin.

Yup yr right.
Apologists like me, what ever that actually means, would rather talk about the game.
The thread was about the game, but then as nearly every thread got dragged into, the usual.
Why not discuss the game, on the thread about the game, rather than repeating the constant club is rubbish theme.
Sure there is a "club is crap" thread thats more appropriate.

The size of the gate, and why, is clearly relevant to this particular game. And the last home match thread and sadly almost certainly the next match thread.

Things would calm down if the club gave a simple indication they have decided to not particularly push the remaining matches at Ealing - fair enough to my eyes - but that there is a plan once they are at Dons.

What you are seeing is people seriously worried there won't be a club next season. As long as the club stay silent and gates remain appalling that will be the focus of pretty much any post match deconstruction as off the field events are currently, and sadly, far more important than on field events. It's the match days that are ratcheting up the concerns.

It means someone who constantly and consistently defends the indefensible or tries to deflect attention away from the harsh realities that are obviously a concern to at least 400 fans who haven't returned post lock down.

Given the average age of our fans, it's a fair bet that most have already been fully "jabbed", so where the fark are they? As has been noted, we were some 300 down on the last visit from the Cumbrians.

You may not care about who sits beside you (unless it's three generations that you use to try and defend the indefensible $15 for kids), but a great many supporters of the club do. To be clear. The London Crusaders days at The Palace and Chiswick were a laugh, but along came SKY and sucked any fun out of managing the game or owning a club, replacing it with cold hard cash.

Running a club on the smell of an oily rag or the benevolence of a handful of fans willing to bail the club out by borrowing against their home is a thing of the past....like jumpers for Goalposts...romantic, but romance is dead!

This is sport. Professional Sport. To pay the bills, regardless of if you aspire to Level 1 or Level 2 of the game requires a revenue stream and the #1 concern of 90% of fans of the Harlequins Rugby League in 2012 wasn't the name or the ground or the fans at games. It should have been the continued reliance on one man to survive but it wasn't.....so what you have now is the 10% from 2012 left...300 fans.....who still don't want to discuss the Elephant in The Room. That's you by the way......Apologist!

London were lazy and disorganised in the first 25 minutes. They started to sort the issues out, obviously got both barrels from DW at Half Time and trounced a side that are cellar dwellars.....there's little more to say other than Swinton at the weekend will be another hammering for doddery dave to enjoy, until the realisation that he's got more and more empty seats to share it with....before heading north or what may well be an absolute horror show the week after.

If we're lucky, he'll dummy spit like he did after the wigan semi and fark off properly instead of picking the scab off the wound (again)

I don't see many of these No 1 fans, saying everything is OK! We see instead constant whining! and little talk about the players and the game. Everything is not right, if it was, we would not be playing where we are at present still.

Still don't see anyone clambering to take over the club, with buckets full of money to throw away! that is why so many clubs are in the same position, and it is going to go worse! with the reduction in Sky money to the lower leagues.

Buy meanwhile we must keep backing the players, especially young ones coming through, hope no young players ever find out about this forum, they would be permanently damaged.

We have to keep supporting the club to the best each one of us can! if we are interested in Keeping Rugby League with the London Broncos, and hopefully once again Super League back in The Capital.
