O/T League One funding : Wed Sep 08, 2021 7:58 am
There is no source cited but on another forum it is stated central funding for any L1 teams who don't make the play offs is being reduced to £20k. What is certain is a L1 club official is on record as saying his club had been briefed to expect a 50-100% cut in central funding.

Another hammer blow for London RL may loom.

Given the broncos and skolars my be in the 3rd tier by this time next year, I'd suggest it is time to pull up the drawbridge south of th M62 and let them get on with it.
The newly minted rugby 12's may well benefit from our academy more than Rugby League does...

TotalRL has a posting by a Coventry official confirming they fear this weekend will be their last game. They say they aren't walking away yet but make it clear the club is not certain to be here next season.

I fear other clubs will be in a similar position.

Only small lifeline, today the RFL are claiming that 2 broadcasters are bow interested in the 10 Super League games up for broadcasting rights from next season, one will be The BBC, this is as agreed with Sky, but how much will think bring in?

A spokesman for The RFL was asked about London Broncos decision, as per usual he spewed out a sentence of rubbish! Time they admit they are in one big mess!

Sheffield Eagles announce they are releasing at least 10 players and looking to recruit young players.

Anyone else but Rimmer would have stood down by now, League Express have tried to speak with him, without success, and on social media stated this saying the offer is still there

League One has seemingly had the travel grant, brought in to recognise the smallest clubs were in the most national league, withdrawn too.

Good luck to Skolars, hope they can survive this.
