terrible decision from wane what could have been an easy win has turned into a disaster, young kids will lean nothing from this just get their confidence wrecked and careers ruined. wane should hold his head in shame.
Disgusting managerial decisions. Twice this season we have shown a lack of respect to the opposition and twice our arrogance has been rewarded with failure. Whilst Wane is doing a fine job elsewhere, he should be looking to publically apologise to the RFL, Wigan Fans and Widnes Vikings.
I keep getting this feeling of deja vu. If, in the long run, Wigan's star players are fresher later in the season and the youngsters whoplayed today have gained valuable experience, then it will have been worthwhile even though we lost. At least we didn't lose to Wire, Leeds or Saints. And let's remeber that Leeds won from 5th when Wigan, who finished second, looked tired last season.
At the end of the day it was our U20's side that went and lost to a SL team by 1 point. I'd like to see any other SL field their U20s side and do a good a job as that.
However, Stupid Stupid decision from Wane. Knew he would be like this some time in the season as he loves his youngsters and over expects their abilitys.
Bit of a Man United esque situation, playing half a team getting shown up - wouldnt have happened under maguire. The positive thing is, it was the coaching desicion not the lack of quality in our side. This can be fixed.
Pleased for Widnes but it should never have happened and probably the biggest blunder SW will make (at least I hope so!). I'm all in favour of giving our up and coming players a go in the first team but not all at once for heaven's sake. At least we will have made the rest of super league very happy this afternoon. Take any opposition for granted and you get what you deserve but a huge clanger SW as not only will the Wigan fans be angry but the players probably aren't too chuffed with you either right now, thankfully it is a long season and other teams will have unexpected losses as well.

We were shattered in the playoffs last season because Maguire played the strongest team every week.
If anything Maguire should be criticised for not bringing these youngsters through a year earlier. A lot of them were ready to be blooded.
Poor by Wane to rest that many but we still should have easily taken the game out. If it keeps the players fresh in the coming weeks hopefully we can earn those 2 points back at some stage.
I won't take anything away from Widnes but I must say their try to level at 36-36 was a disgrace. I was directly in line with it in the east stand and it was knocked on short of the line. Sadly the 13 year old in goal judge must have been busy with his milky bar.
The most disappointing aspect for me is a handy lead in the first half....pulled back, level at HT.
Three quickish tries at the start of the second half, and not closing the game out, irrespective of who is on the field....quote from Bilko on his Twitter "headless chickens last 20 minutes".
SW has a lot of thinking to do before next Sunday.
