That would be a surprise, with him openly talking about how happy he is over there and how he would like to extend his stay. Things change though and you can see why Saints would want him. I'm not sure if Wigan would make a move for him. Ellis has been exceptional at loose forward and I think you'd lose some of what he brings by moving him back to prop. 

I've seen talk this morning of Hull FC putting in a big offer to Joe Batchelor. I've not seen much of Saints so far this season but in this bits I did, he looks fitter than he has done for the last season or two.

I've still not been impressed with him. Looks shot, poor discipline and still missing tackles. He's also 30 so I can see why he would be tempted with a longer contract. I'd sell him personally. We have cap space next season to potentially go for a very good replacement. 

We also have Jake Davies in the Academy/Reserves (Ben's much much better brother) and Billy Keeley coming through who looks highly promising despite still being a couple of years off at least. 

A lot will depend on whether or not Sironen stays. I initially was 100% he is off but it now seems 50/50

Batchelor is off contract at the end of the season so he could move for nothing. I agree with you though I think he is past his best. Probably a Hull type of signing then.

I've not heard this but Rogues put on Red Vee Smithies to Saints. Probably as a wind up but a couple of others have heard similar. I can't see it but you never know. I couldn't imagine Thompson playing for Wigan either
