Last year the British Rugby League made a loss of nearly £1 MILLION Due to cost due to a Cup final with 10 000 empty seats and The cost of Paying for the World Cup teams e.g. Hotel costs and renting grounds e.t.c.!

Main reason was the increase in the cost of insuring players, rising from £705,644 to £1,430,627

If you read the report, insurance costs rose from £700k to over £1.4 million.

Rugby Union clubs are on the brink of going bankrupt 3 clubs have gone to the wall already the thing that RU has it has a very good international set up and they have their own ground Twickenham which they charge inflated prices .Also they have tv sponsorship surprised they have not made more.
