Some of the RL journo disliked Maguire because he wouldn't give them easy copy. He was pretty dull and boring when it came to press conferences etc and they hate that.

I don't always agree with him, but has had some cracking stuff of late that's well worth a read, and always enjoy the set of six.

I think there was some of that to it but he genuinely had a problem with the tactics employed by Wigan and had an even bigger problem with Jeff Lima.

He's without doubt a lover of all things Leeds and I think all the fuss kicked up after Phil Clarkes comments in 2010 followed by their challenge cup defeat had got to him at that point.

Who cares how good or otherwise the Guardian is? Andy Wilson writes some good stuff and the Set of Six are always good for a discussion. On top of that he's now the last RL writer to blog for RL in an open forum and we should be supporting that, regardless of yours, his or my club loyalties or his views or whatever. We need to support what we have because next season we may have squat.
