Before game was fine, no issues but after the game I was informed that there had been a fight, with Saints fans fighting between themselves.
Got chatting to three saints fans and had a good chat with them didn't know much as they thought we got Lima from Bradford but then 6/7 lads came in looking for trouble the saints fans seem to notice them and left rapidly. We was finishing are drinks and waiting for minibus to pick us up but one lad came across looking to kick off especially, he starting point at the Wigan crest on my top and saying get that off in here and something to do with that it was his uncle pub.
A disappointing end to a good day.
should report hes uncle to the owners of the pub.
ben johnson i have seen saints, wire, wigan, widnes and bradford players in there nothing gets said against anybody.
When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

20th: Wigan The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.
I got banned from the saints forum by Saint Simon for posting this: (this is what he quoted to me in a pm with the word 'bye'

No he didn't. I saw it on granda reports when I got home, he threw it into the fans at absolutely nobody in particular, since I've been watching rugby league there has been literally hundereds of players do exactly that near where I've been stood, including Wigan players into Wigan fans and nobody had bat an eyelid since.
Screams nothing but sore losers.
Enjoy your Easter
Anybody care to tell me what's wrong with that? they really are taking this loss very badly! I always thought Saint Simon was one of the decent, knowledgable ones aswell. Maybe not
As the moderators say, this isn't a democracy and they can ban you even if they do it just because they've got a sore behind.
I got a warning for saying this "Facts, evidence and most St Helens fans don't really sit together too well. Blissful ignorance and believing Pimblets make good pies is about the norm" on their forum. Think Saint Simon is venting his bitterness.

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.
When we first arrived in the town centre we were greeted by two blokes near the bus station where one goes "Do you know you're in St Helens now lads" in that horrible fake scouse accent and give us the fingers. Lovely set of blokes
I used to run a main High street store in St Helens centre some years ago and it was a dump then. But then again, many town centres have been trashed by Govt and Councillors building rubbish like shopping centres and bus stations that nobody wants but everybody has to pay for.
I've been to many derby matches home and away since the late 50s and rarely seen any trouble with Saints fans, even in their long side at KR.

I kept the faith and I kept voting Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand For theirs is a land with a wall around it And mine is a faith in my fellow man Theirs is a land of hope and glory Mine is the green field and the factory floor Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers And mine is the peace we knew Between the wars
I live in Haydock and go to St Helens quite a bit, have to agree its rough and getting worse hence the Soliola incident.
I went in there few hours after the game with mates who support Saints, shirts on etc. As i walked in one lad said to me spotting my Wigan shirt, "heres another one", i didnt really take him on. When i was in there another mate came over and told me Wigan fans had been thrown out for fighting? But on here its Saints fans fighting each other? Not sure tbh.
