All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.

Lenagan can dress it up as a huge success all he likes but it’s been a nothing three years and thankfully it’s coming to an end. I hope it’s early enough to hear Lams name in the future and still think ‘great player’ and not just ‘dreadful coach’ but I’m not sure. Lammy did deserve more respect I felt than kids not old enough to remember him here as a player calling for his head and holding bedsheets up last week but I’m not surprised it came to that.

The plain truth is that during the last three years Saints have made huge strides forward and Wigan have gone backwards. Lam was a gnats whisker away from winning the GF but my first sentence would still have been true. The current gulf in class between the teams is huge and increasing. That cannot go on.

Lam seems a really nice bloke and was a great player for this club but the head coach job was unfortunately too big for him. I wish him well in whatever he does next. I want to remember him for being a great Wigan player.

Maybe. I just don’t see how or why he’s still in charge. The Saints debacle should have sounded the klaxon and us booking him a one way flight back to Sydney immediately

Given Covid he was always going to get another year but the alarming signs in the side had been clear for a good while by then,if anything winning the LLS prolonged the agony

You mean in keeping him on until the season's end? Most sensibly minded and reasonable folk that I know wanted him gone a long while ago so we could have an end of season to look forward to. That's not going to happen now and 2021 season will come to a miserable end.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Thank God for that, 18 months too late. Should walk now and have someone take over temporarily, he's a poor coach and the players dont respect him so why keep him until seasons end? It just sullies his reputation as a player.
