Which stands are being renovated? Or is it the whole ground?

I don’t mind Belle Vue. It might not be much to look at but they talk about how great Headingley is but as an away fan the facilities are probably better at Belle Vue. I can find cover if I need it and I can get a pint and a pee without trekking half a mile.

I've not visited since before they built those self catering apartments at the other end, it's that long ago. Haha

1. The whole east stand is being demolished and a brand new east stand 2500+ seater with boxes, conference suite and other amenities built.

2. The North stand is getting a facelift and I believe the foundations and terracing is being renewed.

3. The cats bar has had a new roof but there is going to be an investment that corner with a community

1. The east stand is being flattened and a new 2500+ seater stand built with conference suite and boxes.

2. The north stand is getting a facelift on the terraces to modernise it and improve it.

3. The cats bar has a new roof but there will be investment in a cafe and community gym.

4. We are getting a new 4G all round pitch.

5. Brand new floodlights.

6. Brand new big screen I think too.

Total of 12 million investment.

Sounds good. It’s nice to be able to stay at Belle Vue and hopefully they can develop it further as the years go by.

Watched the Newcastle game tonight.

Miski went well strong carry and great work ethic but he did knock on again off a short kick.

If we were to recall an outside back to replace Marshall I’d personally go with Halsall who scored another well taken try and is solid in all aspects of the game.

Thornley though would be my choice, he was fantastic pre injury plus we can also use French if Marshall is out.

Farrell and Bateman will be key on Sunday. When Wigan have the ball they will need to go at Lino and Miller on the edges to try take some running out of them as they are playing very well.

Johnstone looked devastating against Salford and will need to be watched but he does have his moments in defence.

I think it has the makings of a cracking cup tie.

Very much looking forward to it.

Miski was good, but I can't understand the logic in using a quota spot on him. You've listed two perfectly good alternatives to him and I'm sure that, if we looked hard enough, there'd be a fed trained winger who could do a similar job too. Or possibly a recruit from RU who wouldn't count on cap or quota.

In recent years Wigan v Wakey seems to have become a bit of a home banker, if it was at the DW I'd be pretty confident, at Belle Vue not confident at all.
It'll be a new 3/4 line that's for sure, think I'd go Field Bibby Hardaker Thornley French

Agree, was thinking the same.

Quota spots too valuable for them not to be in the 17 guaranteed.

I’d be interested in seeing what the other Newcastle winger could do in SL with a bit of time to settle in. He is one hell of an athlete.
