Nene under contract until November. Think it would take a lot of "rub" for Beaumont to let down Lammy & Chester mid season whilst they all still have their eyes on the prize. Yes, Leigh would have to jettison some imports should they be promoted, but they have yet to be.

That’s daft, you could have got a decent fee for him. Leeds would have paid what you wanted. We are desperate to sign him!

I fully agree with previous posters and the benefits of him staying. I think he’s been one of our most consistent performers since he signed for us and is never one to not put some effort into a game. He is an experienced player and for my money adds value to the side.

So to that end to say I’m disappointed by the rumour he has been sacked is an understatement. It isn’t a catastrophic loss by any means but I just feel we’re losing a good player right at a time when we need experienced solid players. That being said, we don’t sack players for nothing. If he’s done something so bad it warrants dismissal you won’t find me berating the club. Ultimately the club and clubs culture is priority. It is an issue though that we may have a decent amount of cap space but quota spots taken up with Isa and Miski. One, or both also may need to go.

He's hardly without baggage is he. No club (big or otherwise) can afford to have disruptive people in their midst. Full marks to the Wigan authorities for taking the right action and demonstrating that they have standards that need adhering to. Good luck to whoever is daft enough to take him on.

If it's true, then we're going to have to do it tough for a little while. Tommy, Powell & Zak is a lot of experience gone and KPP is still out for a while too.

We should have held out and tried to sign Liam Tindall from Leeds, maybe its worth a bid for Connor Wrench from Warrington? Or both.

Or use the money for Will Pryce from Huddersfield?

Good riddance. I didn't want him at the club in the first place. The club have stood by him after his drugs ban, and then drink driving. Then he moved back to Yorkshire and tried to force a move. I have literally only started warming to him over the last few weeks after he was putting in good performances despite playing out of his preferred position, and thinking he was growing up a bit and 'knuckling down' despite having to commute. How wrong was I?

Think Wigan could have absolutely buried him in that statement but tried to be classy about it.

There’s a lot more gone on.

How pathetic is Hardaker, a grown man who can’t handle a couple of hours commute? Doesn’t know he’s born.

I’ve been critical of him for years as a player, a solid and occasionally above average player, so overrated we never got the player from Cas or Leeds.
