For anyone who reckons we should re-sign Danny Tickle - Don't!

He is one of the worst defenders in the league:

No wonder Hull want rid.

He's in the top 10 in the league for tackles made aswell though which gives him abit of a licence when it comes to misses.

Lockers was top of the missed tackle list last season for a good while but I wouldn't call him a bad defender.

Sam Burgess is in the top 10 for missed tackles this season aswell but i wouldn't turn him down!

The Turner deal was first rumoured a few weeks back on the Salford and Hull boards.

Since then the M.E.N have linked us with a move for him. I'd be very interested him in especially if it were a choice between him or Paul Johnson.

Don't rate LMS as highly as many in here, didn't stand out at all on Friday.

Ratchford plays very much like Sam, a running half back, we need a creative passing organising 7.

I was all for a younger 7 (Myler for example) but considering the lack of options I think we're going to have to recruit an older quality 7 such as Orford. Not ideal as it's only a 2 year stop gap, but maybe something else will develop over the next two years allowing us then to sign a 7 closer to Sam's age building a long term partnership.

Am I right in thinking Orford, Jones and Lockyer haven't got a new deal at their clubs yet?

We all do but that doesn't mae it right.

Turner can play centre, backrow or even 6 i believe and is an up and coming talent who's injury record(over the past couple of years anyway) seems to have been very good.

However he is young, more powerful and comes with a kicking game, unlike Myler. And if Ratchford came we wouldn't have any liabilities in defence like many overseas half-backs/Myler would bring, as he and Tomkins are generally good in defence.

I think he is a good player with a lot of positives. I just feel he isn't right to be the 7 to partner Sam. We need other attributes in the 7 we sign.
