I'm a Salford fan (for my sins) and after having time to think about it, the move makes complete and utter sense in every way. I like Smith, he's solid if unspectacular but organises things extremely well. He'll also look a lot better behind a vastly superior pack to ours. Don't think many Salford fans will feel as wronged about the move as the Wire fan seems to be for some reason!

I think they story it's in the final paragraphs off will get Cas in trouble won't it? They're talking about deferred wages isn't that "against the spirit of the cap" as we got done for?

Anyway on topic glad to see we have him signed and I hope the early move is confirmed takes the pressure off wane to play tommy earlier than when he's 100% I imagine, like others have said, that we will either loan smith back to Salford when tommy can play again as a good will thing or maybe loan them an under 20s half from now until seasons end. Surely there's some incentive to have him released early other than a fee.
