I was there last night, yes it was another poor one. There was one bloke in particular who will probably floating in the Dougy by now! Never heard anything like it.
Looking at it with my heart - we need to win two of our final five super 8 matches to make the semi's (away) - then it's knockout rugby and anyone's game. Plus we are getting players back out at the right time.
Looking at it with my head - we could scrape through to the semi's and then limp out. Looking toward next season.
Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013
Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”

We've been devastated by injuries/suspensions/etc this year, and we all expect our full squad would be up there challenging for silverware, but those things can happen to anyone. What is going to change, apart from TL for MS, JB for JC, for you to look forward to anything other than more of the same next season? I'm disappointed to read all the 'Wane Out' stuff, but most would agree we aren't playing a good brand that people want to see.

Didn't say I was looking forward to next season, more looking toward next season. Changes do need to be made (tactics, plan moves). I'm happy to give SW one more season (if we limp out the semi's/super8's this season). If we don't improve next season though then.....
We haven't played good rugby in a while, long before the injuries. It stretches back to last year.
We go on about our structure, in attack recently it doesn't look like we have one. It's so basic, just basically catch and pass, there's little movement off the ball, it's the players off the ball that occupy defenders, there is nothing there. Defenders just hit the man with the ball or the one guy we have hitting a gap. It's embarrassing to watch at times, if Shaun Wane wants to call people fickle for calling him on our dire efforts with the ball and he doesn't consider it an issue, the I really do worry. If our structured play was that good, then the players coming in would know the moves, the talent might not be as good, but the moves should still be there. Fact is, they aren't there, with our without our best team on the field.
Think you been bit harsh on you coach on last night match first it was an excellent match both teams played well we was just bit more clinical and hungry but I do think coach needs let the shackles of the team Wigan when I seen them this year you played best rugby when chasing the game and they look very good team and on last nights win for us this is our strongest team we managed to put on pitch all year.
Yeah I've noticed this, we seem to play better when we're a few scores behind. Maybe we could speak to the RFL and make sure we start every game 12 nil down
It's possibly down to our injuries though, we've simply not had our best players available for long spells to pal decent rugby; we might've scored more if we played more expansive, but we would have conceded twice as much. Does anybody else think we've been deliberately rigid in order to grind games out? I certainly don't think we'd be second if we tried to play like Cas, for instance.

I see your point and have thought it myself, does Wane have that little confidence though in our players that he basically has them playing catch and pass rugby, with the hope that the odd player makes a break, or a player drops off a tackle? To me that's how we seem to approach games, tackle well, go through the motions with the ball and hope we get lucky with the bounce of a ball or a missed tackle.
It's a strange one, we just don't have any off ball movement any more. Obviously losing SOL disrupts the team as he links play, although he has been doing far less of this even when playing this year, which is where we may be struggling. I thought Faz coming back would help as he runs good lines out wide.
We do need to sort our attack out sharpish otherwise we're finished for the season.
This may come as a shock to you but we're 2nd in SL.
Why are you so arsed, you don't go the game anyway. You know what they say about empty vessels
Bit of an open goal there with empty vessels but I'll pass. I'm a current ST holder and a fan for nearly 50 years so even though I've decided to stop going this season I still care about the club I have supported since I was a kid so if I want to make a comment I will. I've decided to cease going because it's the only way I think IL will listen is when attendances drop to levels where he must act. The sheer paucity of the skill and entertainment makes my decision a little easier. I've no problem with other people having opposite opinions or being more positive than myself.

Haha! You've bought a season ticket but don't go to games, and you think that will send a message to Lenigan? That's like going to Tesco for your weekly shopping, paying for it then leaving the trolley at the checkout.
