Confirmation of what we all know, we have narrowed the gap somewhat, and not closed it, not close yet.

Shorrocks, still to this day I do not know what he brings to the team other than effort. He has no clear talent that I can see, he isn't big, fast, strong or a good ball player.

Bibby, shooting out of the line is just plain dumb. Quite relaxed about him going, very average at either wing or centre.

Cust was slow to react to most things, said last week that this wasn't the game to bring him back.

Hopefully the disappointment will help some guys to learn a lesson, letting Hurrell offload with 4 men on him was criminal.

Plenty of fat/Deadwood to be trimmed from the side still - Shorrocks, Partington and Singo spring to mind. Luckily the club have already identified that they need an experienced prop (something Singo should be) to lead the troops. It was night and day when we brought Havard and Mago (excellent tonight) on.

Isa was ok, but we struggled to get momentum early on (see the above about props). Baffling that KPP didn't play - unless he's injured?

Was definitely a red mate. No intention in the tackle but was very dangerous

Was it balls. No initial reaction in the ground and the ref was happy to play on until the Saints guy milked it. If he doesn't stay down, then nothing happens.

The delay was probably because it was being reviewed. They are now carding people even if there is no injury and rightfully so

If he milks a pen and theres nothing in it, play carries on.

His shoulder hits his head. Red card.

The rule is terrible because it no longer accounts for whether it's deliberate, the position of the attacker, timing etc. Singleton is committed to what would probably be a legal tackle and the quick positional change of Sironen means he hits him in the head with his shoulder.

We're still winning the game with less than 3 minutes to go though and threw it away. That wasn't Liam Moore's fault.

We could quite easily have won that given a touch more luck and smartness. The derbies are now unpredictable because we have closed the gap considerably and have more improvement in us. They can have that one, we'll have the Grand Final
