Its not a clever play its just dumb defence.

Stunning that players are willing to over commit at this level.

Millward got Balu doing it, its as basic as it gets and highlights just how far behind the NRL we are when this is seen as a clever play. Its a forward taking it to the line and passing the ball.

Arti Beetson was doing this 30 odd years ago.

Which there was an awful lot of from Leeds, despite all the chat about how well they played.

Three of Wigan's tries were walk-overs from near the line. That's disgraceful defence from a supposed top side. And dubious refereeing decisions had nothing to do with it. It wouldn't have made any difference had the pass to Lima for his second been half an inch further back, while Tommy grounded the ball cleanly - we were very close and saw that he had the ball firmly in the crook of his arm (the fact that he happened to but his hand on the ball afterwards was irrelevant).

I'm glad you've cleared that up. It wasn't very clear from the various camera angles shown on tv. Its good that somebody who saw it once at real speed from the "very close" stands can confirm to us what actually happened; thanks.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but three separate people at Wembley told me Liam Farrell is off to Widnes. Now they may have all got it from the same person or even known each other but the fact they all gave the same reason got my attention. According to them he wants regular first team action.

that's the problem with having a good squad, some good players who would be in a starting 13 in some other teams can't even get a seat on the bench when all players are fit.

No worries. Your education on this site continues apace.

PS: In case you'd forgotten, after being viewed from these many angles, the try was given. :D

Doubt that, in the past year hes played and won in both the CC Final and Grand Final, hes hardly not getting any first team action! PLus didnt he just sign a 5 year deal? If this is true its a very stupid move on his part.

Especially as Hoffman is about to head home.

Is this the education where eventually after much point scoring it is acknowledged that a player whose contract is paid-up does not count on the salary cap and that in relation to the Chris Hicks transaction, which is where the exchange started, the person in question had no idea about what had occurred?

I don't post unsourced rumours but it was the fact three separate people told me. I think the lad's a really good squad player and I wouldn't want to lose him.
