I understand what u mean but that just shows the competition for the farce that it is! How can we settle for 4th or 5th? Every club should be going balls out for 1st and anything less is not good enough.

one thing goudling will never be able to accuse wigan of is not getting a fair crack

That's true. He might have been peeved about last season, but overall he's got no complaints.

Personally, I think he's in danger of becoming another Martin Aspinwall - someone everyone regards as a promising youngster until they suddenly remember that he's now in the middle of his career and still hasn't really kicked on.

Of course, he may prove me wrong and I hope he does.

Been saying that for years, good juniors but lack that something special to turn them into a first choice SL centre at a top club.

Still if we run with him next year so be it, but I doubt he will have the starting shirt for long if we do and I expect Charnley will be given a shot sooner rather than later with Goulding fighting it out with Roberts for the spot on the wing.

Josh charnley should get the centre spot with, young backs like Matty russell and Ryan King should get a shot on the wing, a partnership of charnley and king would certainly add some pace to the back line

Huge fan of the Charnley to centre idea and a huge fan of King and Russells ability and would love to see them get a crack but no way could we put them on the same side of the field.

I'd be happy with this though-

2-Richards
3-Charnley
4-Carmont
5-King/Russell

Experience outside Charnley and pace outside Carmont...winner.
