It’s a recurring saying but I doubt he’s cost much so no real risk to it. He’s young and is having a good season but his centre play is an unknown (and we must be signing him to play there).

One day I’m hoping we’ll get to say a signing is a risk due to how far we’ve pushed the boat out.

Is Hankinson still under contract next season? Hopefully doesn’t mean he will make a permanent move to second row.

I am more than sure you are correct though, no one need worry, as if it was even close to be happening he would of happily told you he is extremely homesick and struggling being away from his family before ordering his flat white.

I don’t mind these ‘cheap’ or ‘project’ signings if we sign some quality too. But we will get to next season and not sign anyone and people will say x player got a contract upgrade and we signed some of the academy lads to full time contracts.

Clark, Bibby, Hastings/Maloney, Atkin, Amor and King seem to be the ones at the minute.

If we lost Williams, Clubb, Sarginson, Hamlin and Escare I think we would have a stronger squad next year. I still think we need some quality in the pack, another prop and a back rower. Forget putting Hankinson there, playing second row takes years to learn not just being played there because you’re not good enough to play centre. The above is assuming Leuluai and O’Loughlin go around again.

Ha, was slightly tongue in cheek. I do think Clark will actually be good based on his recent performances against us, I just feel we’re crying out for a “marquee” signing to get some positivity and excitement back.

We need 2 x props, a back rower, a scrum half, a Stand Off, a right centre and a hooker.

Nearly a full team, some of them need to be ready made quality marquee signings, ones that kids want their names on the back of their shirts not Jim Smith from Batley, some proper quality.

Welch, Clark, Jensen, Hastings and Cameron King would make me happy from the rumours to date. Not sure what it would mean for the quota unless there’s some Scottish grandmas/dogs knocking around.

I’ve never been Sarginson’s biggest fan but genuinely think he’s been solid lately. Would also leave Sammut at 7 for another year, shown a lot of good things on the time he’s been on.

Isn’t Bibby more of a winger? Also the second of our signings for next year who isn’t a regular in their current side.....at least he’s Wigan born though!!
