also if hock goes this could be a massive test for wane.

he will have to play the sqaud under a strict structure kind of like when madge first came (became abit to strict the 2nd season), before madge none of the players were really seen as qaulity as they are now.

there should be enough meters and grunt in that pack, also play a strict game plane with less errors and penaltys. if madge was still coach i am not sure if hock would even be starting as he doesn't like unstructured plays.

This off field stuff? What is it, because if it is the same as last time Wigan would have to tell WADA and Hock would be banned, so that's not it.

Apparently the WEP will have IL's take on it tomorrow according to Phil Wilkinson on Twitter.

I can't see any good coming from this deal, our squad has been weakened so much in the last two years it beggers belief. Wane will be out of a job in 12 months because we won't win anything next year, then Sam's on his way. Great. More £££ in the bank.

I'm sick to death of people moaning about "ins and outs" over the past 2/3 seasons. The simple fact is, the salary cap prevents us from replacing top class players with top class players. There aren't enough top class players knocking about in super duper league and I suppose it's about bringing in the best of a bad bunch that will make us compete in SL, even if hock goes I'd still stay our squad is in the top 3 best in the league which speaks volumes for this league. Unless the cap changes this is how it will be from now on, the best players will go to union or the NRL. People moan about our signings but let me ask you this, who would you have rather had that was AVAILABLE. For Christ sake stop moaning and get on with it.

If Moi Moi is part of the deal due to the Para link again not impressed especially when Masoe a 23 year old version of him is being offered around.

In order to replace Hock you will need an aggressive quality strike running player, he would have to come from the NRL and be real quality, as such he will be asking for double Hocks current wages at least, there is no guarantee he will settle. Financially and performance wise it's a massive risk to say the least.

If you throw a name out let's hear it as it would have to be Thaiday or Williams to offer what Hock does and clearly it will be neither.

Given he deliberately moved away from the way Madge did things why do you think he will do this? He clearly thought Madge's approach was wrong.

That pack will get beaten more often than it isn't and what happens if we pick up one or two injuries? Far too much pressure on Hansen and Lockers and if Wane continues with his nonsensical full contact training half of them will be out injured 2/3 of the way through the season. Isn't Hughes destined for the centres anyway? Where you get the idea Hock wouldn't even get in a team coached by Madge God only knows.

If we didn't sell 'em we wouldn't need to replace 'em would we!

When the quality is already at the club and we sell it then we are not looking at an availability problem are we?

As to availability then clearly anyone is available given the standard of player we are supposed to be making available ourselves. All we have to do is ask and for the right fee we can have who we like. Can't we? It's the way it seem to work when clubs come knocking on our door.
