Me too, a fantastic young player who is playing well beyond his years and experience IMO. Very much deserved contract.

Haven’t seen enough of Wells and Partington to comment.

Clubb on a 2yr deal though is an absolute disgrace. People wonder where our cap goes; on rubbish like that. Plenty more where he came from in our squad.

Let’s not panic just yet.

We don’t know the ins and outs of the Clubb deal and it could be a shrewd bit of business if it is on reduced terms.

I’m told Tautai is gone, he will be switching to Cas which is a positive and I’m unsure of the Navarette contract but he needs shipping out ASAP.

Clark & Flower will compliment each other. Even after resigning Clubb we still need 2 new Props. If we are relying on Clubb as one of our top 4 then it is a poor move, but let’s wait and see.

I’m comfortable with 1 year for Burgess, I think it works for both parties. 4 front line wingers into 2 positions doesn’t go. We need to lose 1 at least and if it’s Burgess it is what it is. We still hopefully have quality there to replace him without having to recruit if he goes.

Bibby I can live with as a project signing so long as he is just that and isn’t expected to be starting in the centre, also now we have him signed Sarg is no longer needed and needs to be replaced with a quality exoerienced Centre.

I’m not mad about Watkins but I’d be comfortable with him, Gildart and Bibby. I still however have a feeling Gildart won’t be in a Wigan shirt next year.

I’m surprised at the length of the deals for the youngsters, but they are all covering periods in their career where I guess going into the last year we will definitely know if they will be SL players.

I’m not a happy clapper but I’m also quite happy to be patient until everything is finalised for 2020 and we have the full picture.

Happy with pretty much all the news so far. I’d have liked Burgess on a longer deal but it’s better then nothing and the Clubb one is strange but if he has a good pre season then maybe he’ll bounce back.

As things stand we’re still 3 or 4 quality signings away from competing at the top end in 2020 IMO. It’ll be interesting to see if we can afford them or not.

Pretty much agree with all of that. Clubb at his best was ok but a 2 year deal seems excessive in the extreme.
I'm just hoping that IL will be using the cash from the sales of Orrell to finance some proven quality signings

Doesn’t look like Hastings will be next, he’s had a dig on his twitter saying he disagrees with wearing another teams kit whilst you have half the season left.

I think this day of announcements has been a real disappointment and shows far disconnected the club is to the fans.

Regardless of the quality of signings (which is I'm still not sold on) or resignings (can't agree with Clubb or Hankinson at all), the club built this up with their teaser posts on social media...all for what? To announce things we already new!! Worst kept secrets were Clarke, Bibby, Clubb and Burgess resigning!!

Just don't get what's going on with that marketing department or with senior management to sign it off!!

Built up a lot of hope for absolutely nothing!!

No coaching appointment despite the need to act fast!! What it does tell me is that it must be Lam staying on to sanction those singings so why keep beating around the bush just get it signed and tell us!!

Still 4-6 really top quality players short of even competing next year imo
