Even though Omicron is (based on current evidence) less severe than other variants, in the absence of some Level of restrictions and factoring in the infection rate, it’s possible that hospitalisations and even deaths go higher than they’ve ever been.

You do realise that?

Just because it’s statically not as bad, that isn’t a reason to just let it run ragged. Hospitals could get over run, public services depleted etc.

You are sounding like SAGE, let's deal in facts not what might happen. The information is available to predict what will happen you simply don't want to believe it. Now if they have got the number of people being infected with Omicron wrong do you think, just for one minute, that they could have the number of hospitalisations and deaths wrong? By the way, how many people are in hospital and how many have died with this extremely deadly variant? What has happened to the number of cases in South Africa and London? Why has the population of Sweden not been wiped out due to their carry on as usual stance?

I await your answers with interest but I don't expect any and if I do get a response then they will have no evidence to back them up!

By the way can you please respond to the questions I previously posted rather than cherry picking what suits you?

Just seen a tweet stating that the French government have recently ruled that all pro sportsmen & women have to be double jabbed to participate in French sport. Interesting times, I'm sure each UK team will have at least one player affected.
