Maybe I, and some others, were wrong in our criticisms. Or maybe the club has listened to the fans frustrations and acted upon it.

What a signing that would be.

He'd easily be the best forward in the league and change our pack.

Not going to let myself get too excited at this stage tho!

Hastings, French and Burgess would generate interest in fans and players already at the club. I'd be delighted with those 3 and Clark.

I’m not getting to excited just yet,I suspect Burgess would want to stay down under but at last Wigan are showing some gumption when it comes to signings

It would be a huge statement to bring him in and one I’ve got everything crossed we can make happen. I think he probably will come to superleague, to get away from the pressures down under that have been created by a moment of madness. He looks ready for a change and if a club gets close to the wage he’s being offered down under then I think he may take it.

I’m saying that if he does come to Superleague we’re sure to face competition from the usual suspects. I’d imagine Leeds, Wire, Hull and Catalans will put offers together. Hull aside the other three would seem maxed out on the cap, with their marquee spots taken but they’re the three teams who always seem to find that bit of wiggle room.

I doubt Lam would have been that open about a potential Burgess deal if he wasn't confident.

Not too sure, he seemed confident on his own son coming over this time last year but that one got away.

You’d hope you’re right though and he wouldn’t be so open about it because alerting clubs to our offer isn’t the way to go. I’m not daft enough to think there won’t be a bidding war but try to keep it under cover as much as possible.

He apparently doesnt want to face his brothers so I think he will head home

Also now the cat's out of the bag its only natural that the fans will feel let down if it doesn't happen. Wouldn't be the smartest move if a deal wasn't close.
