I'll freely admit that I've not seen much of Hampshire since he left Wigan, with the exception of on the Super League Show (where, to be fair, he seems to score a few tries).
As a junior, I thought he packed lots of promise, especially playing outside George. But then we've all seen these boy-wonders who end up as journeymen.
I maintain that if Rocky had stayed at Wigan and knuckled down, he could conceivably have found his way into our halfback interchange (especially with our now regular-as-clockwork injury crises). Whether he'd have kicked on from there is anyone's guess. But I was told that he was very hard to deal with, laying down the sorts of terms and conditions that the club only accepted from Hanley and Edwards.
That alone would make him a no-no for me. However, if his attitude has changed (and his wage demands match his underachiever status), I'd still welcome him back as a utliity player.
