On a more serious note that wraps up the recruitment for 2012. We all wanted a centre and we finally have one. He can also play second row too - ala Joel Tomkins. Built like a brick sh-thouse, but must have some skills too. Had a checkered past, but has made appearances for the Roosters at a very young age - they must have seen something in him. Been playing reserve grade since. At 20 years of age he has plenty of time to develop. We've no stand out centres coming through at the moment so it's worth a shot. Ian Lenagan, the coaching staff and our resources up in Australia must have seen something worth while in this kid. Lenagan doesn't make signings for the sake of it.

Excited to see what this kid can do. He'll either be a massive success like George Carmont or it not work out like Karl Pryce. Wont be costing the earth (not sure how we've got around the quota) and I see it as a shot worth taking. The market in the NRL is 'largely dead' and we all know the horrific standard of OOC players in Super League. We've no young centres coming through at the moment in our academy - sure, I can see the logic. I'd rather we signed this lad than move for someone like Tony Martin like Hull have done.

so it looks like gil , flower and gelling , lets just see how they fit in and perform in the warm up games , before we judge them..

Saddened is gonna love this! He/she whatever their gender, thought from the start the increase in the cap was just so Wigan could sign an NRL centre.

Onto the man himself. I've never heard of him, or seen him play. But physically he's a monster at just 20 years of age. As NickyKiss mentions, he could be our very own Hape or Vainikolo. They too were just drifting about in the lower leagues until Bradford picked them up. I'd love to know how we found him.

That looks like Byron Ford who played for HKR in their promotion season and first year or 2 in superleague.

If this lad can skin a legend like him he'll take anyone

In fact with those three being out of contract at the end of next season I would imagine that Warrington will be making the biggest name signing of any club for the 2013 season. In fact the way they operate I wouldn't be in the least suprised if the signing isn't already done and dusted.
