The 2 year Clubb renewal was the more puzzling one. Though for all we know he could be an incredible leader/motivator behind the scenes.

This is what I don’t get, if that’s the only reason for keeping him on then we should do so as an assistant coach.

I also don't think we need another top prop. With the squad we have I'd be more than happy with one more experienced guy, who is better than RN and plays more games than Clubb. An Andy Coley type prop who just goes about his business week in, week out and flies under the radar.

The reserves will have to have older players as the squad just being made up of over age U19s won't learn anything out there. A couple of older heads Like Clubb and Sammut could help them enormously.

I've not seen or heard that about Clubb Ted, where as it come from?

Not heard it from anyone but my own thoughts on Clubby who now has injury problems and with our new recruits (prior to Burgess) he would be further down the pecking order.
With Burgess on board I'd have thought the opening props would be him and Bullock. Two massive men!
After them there's Flower,Clark, Nav, Oli P.
Things change next year with the reserves and the need for older heads playing with the younger guys.
I still think Clubb will play first team, quite a bit too but I just don't think he will be a front line prop from next year.

Garbutt would certainly add an extra dimension to our front row. It would be interesting to see what happens should Hull KR go down.

I think we just need minutes, experience and consistency. Unfair or not you could say our props (or even a high % of the whole pack) are quite injury prone and don't do long stints. Would be nice to have a steady eddy, but someone who is still decent enough to make an impact.

There's no room for another prop - we've got about ten of them.

Recruitment is finished for 2020 and Wigan have done a great job.

We know that, but the original post was about are we getting the most out of Escare, Clubb and Navarrette's wages.

They have done a great job at bringing people in tho!
