If Wigan let Hastings, the best player SL has seen in a number of years, sign for someone else before he has even pulled the shirt on then its time to pack it in

Let's hope he's actually put pen to paper to join us, if we can get £100k for someone who never sets foot in the home changing rooms and was only going to do a season anyway it might not be bad business, embarrassing, but good business.

The bigger issue here is that yet again, the assumption is being made that an NRL contract trumps all other deals. The Aussies want Hastings back, so suddenly his commitments in the UK mean absolutely nothing.

For that reason alone, Wigan should hold him to his contract and tell whichever underachieving NRL clubs think he's the answer to all their problems to literally eff off. And if the player sulks - which I doubt he will, as he doesn't seem to be that kind of guy - we just have to grin and bear it.
