I agree with the second bit but I’d prefer ZH before him. And to be honest I can’t really say why, so I’ll put it down purely to “Wigan player” bias, rightly or wrongly.

Its not about safety for me it is the John Monie Australian way of getting your best 17 out there. Jack Wighton playing centre for Australia is your perfect example.

I would but only as a squad player. I don’t see much difference in him and Sammut other than age.

Absolutely not. One of the worst most over hyped players I’ve ever had the misfortune to see.

I do however think there will be some more movement in the coming few months prior to the kick off in 2020 and I expect a few will be leaving which hopefully opens up some room for us to strengthen the halves and maybe forwards too.

Ideally we’ll manage to move on Escare, Sammut and Navarette. I also wouldn’t be against a loan deal for Tom Davies and I think Jake Shorrocks needs to go and try and cut a career elsewhere.

I’d be happy if we could do all that and bring one more prop in but I doubt we’ll see any more incomings.

Lilley wouldn’t get a sniff at Wigan currently. He’s still fairly young and could improve but I don’t see anything in him to suggest he gets in our side ahead of Tommy,Sam Powell or even Sammut
