Although it’d be nice I don’t see Connor as a realistic signing. Nor do I see him as a HB.

Connor isn't anything like what we need. Overrated, inconsistent and the wrong type of player if we end up in the market for a Hastings replacement.

We'll have no choice but to throw Harry Smith in there.

I was simply throwing a name out a club may be prepared to throw a fee at but yeah he’s probably not perfect. I do think he’s ready to be given a halfback role and more responsibility and he needs that to kick on but we’ve put all our eggs in the Hastings basket and if it doesn’t come off we’re in a bit of a mess. Things can sometimes work our perfectly when you least expect it though and maybe that would be the case if it gave Harry Smith a chance.

Most players are wrapped up now I can’t really see the point of bringing a marquee player in unless he genuinely added to the side and given the halves are where Wigan are short it would make sense to hang fire surely?

I hate the 'who though' question. I'm a fan of the game, no one who's got any real knowledge on the comings and goings of players.
But... I do see your point. it's all well and good having a marquee spot available, but it's not much good if no one of 'marquee' standard is available.

Just wait for Lam to suggest son Lachlan Lam is marquee worthy
