Fully expected him to leave. While I've criticized him at times for disappearing in games, over the past two to three seasons he's been superb. We certainly wouldn't have won the GF and CCF without him, is input in those games was immense. At least Wigan now know he's leaving, so can plan accordingly.

Important that we keep Finch though, we don't want to be losing both our experienced heads in the halves come 2013.

It's better to know now that he going at the end of this coming season. At least we can try out or source a replacement.

As LTS says it may be prudent to try and keep Finch for at least one more year.

Hopefully the recruitment planning has already started for 2013 as there are likely to be a number of major positions with holes in:

Hooker
Stand Off
Scrum Half

I can't see Finch staying given the new big increase in the NRL cap kicks in.

I can see McIlorum and Carberry sharing the hooking role in 2013. The half backs are more of a concern.

That's why I'm worried about a big hole in the dummy half department. I just don't see McIlorum as my main hooker. Probably too soon for Carberry to be the main man , even in 2013 as he's unlikely to have played enough in 2012.
