not much use to us when the owner isnt even willing to spend the cap....
I ignored the dig at Leneghan from a certain other poster on another thread relating to Lam only getting the job this year as He's a Cheap option and because he's only given Lam a Rolling contract he won't get a Top coach because they won't come over on a contract like that (Without knowing any of the contract conversations or if the club are looking at other Coaches already) and even though there's no evidence, perpetuating the story that the coach has no say in the signings or backroom staff.
But once again here we go - Where on earth do you get that from? We have people criticising IFL because we spend the cap (And Above due to Marquee) on players not good enough! Then we have people criticising IFL because we apparently now don't Spend the cap!
We spend more money than anyone else in super league on the cap, I could find a few things to moan at Lenegan about but money spent certainly isn’t, where that money is going however can be questioned

Indeed. Its posts like this (I'm assuming he still comes on here now and then) that must make IL think "you know what..... F**k it"..!!
It would be interesting to hazard a guess at the total money outlaid since he took us over. There's no financial gain in taking over a Rugby League Club, so he obviously did it for other reasons. He isn't a multi billionaire with limitless funds.... he ain't Shiek Mansour, he isn't even a millionaire on the scale of Dave Whelan either.
Lets imagine you won £15m on the lottery, very nice! Nice houses, nice cars. Now would you dump a couple of million into Wigan RL on your own? Would you then prop up the club every year with a few hundred grand in losses and at the same time spend to the cap (and above on two marquee players).
Would you bring someone in to share the risk? Would you cut your losses and run, or would you not even bother at all? Easy to think differently when it's your own money.
IL hasn't been with us for 13 years for a profit, he's done it for the love of the club. Look at Koucash who just walked away from it all just like that.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
From this season or next season Bigred? I heard that he had seen his arris after not getting the No 8 maybe he wants out and hopefully we have a replacement in mind?
If it's with immediate effect with no replacement then in the short term not a good move us.
