We’re in a good position in that we’ve got some time to try and get some fringe players out and bide our time until a decent opportunity pops up. It’s usually from down under but that will only come down the line once their season starts.

I imagine that this is where the link up with Swinton will come in handy. When you add to the list Havard and Jack Wells, who are next in line, it is difficult to see where they will get game time especially when some of them will not reach the peak age for their positions of another seven or so years.

that still going? not seen any players cross this year since the reserves,

Next season is going to be very interesting:

Lockers, Tommy, Budgy, Gildart, Flower, Escare, Navarette and potentially hastings all set to move on wit hthe possibility the club wont take the option on Greenwood.

Neither have I but some clubs are still using it.

Ideally we don’t want to be losing that many in one off season. In an ideal world Hastings and Gildart are here and Burgess finds his form and stays also. The others leaving/retiring will leave plenty of space for 2 or 3 good additions.

If he carries on then Bevan French might well be off as well

That’s my biggest worry, he’s our best player along with Jacko and Hardaker doesn’t offer half the threat that French does in attack

I agree. Hopefully we can do everything we can to keep Hastings for a 2nd season at least. Burgess to stay and fight for his wing spots which keeps the other two on their toes (plus you never know with Manfredi).

Lockers we know is retiring, Tommy only possibly.
Escare leaving is a given, I don't think he will ever play again for us and if rumours of £100k per season then that's an expensive lesson to have been learned.

Gildart to NRL? I would try and tie him down to another couple of years if we can. Keeps pressure on in the centres. We also need to tie down Bevan French for a couple of years too.

George Burgess - who knows what's going on here. Let's hope he can get to full fitness along with another blockbusting prop forward then we are going to be very difficult to beat over the next few seasons.

Flower looks like he's off plus things look limited now for Navarette and Greenwood. We have a lot of good solid lads coming through to complement the regular first teamers we already have. Do this and we 'should' have a couple of successful seasons.

Contracts don't seem to mean anything these days though aside from we get a fee
