I think Mcmeekin needs a new challenge and there's no chance of Sam Burgess coming out of retirement,he would have to pay a fortune back in insurance money from when his contract was paid up
McMeekan has struggled with some injuries since 2017. I think people like the idea of him because he’s 6ft 4ish, athletic, has good hands and probably has a little more steel about him than Greenwood. Add in the fact he’s a natural right sider and people think we could get a little more out of that position and it’s not difficult to understand why he’d be mentioned.

He has been medically retired and as I understand it the clause governing that medical retirement lasts 1 year from sign off.

So a player can get a speciaist to medically retire them,the insurance company then pays the contract off to the player and then that player is free to resume playing after a year?.That is so open to abuse it doesn't make sense
