Shaun Kenny-Dowell would do, he murdered Bibby today, so much so that the coach put Zak at left centre at the back end of the game. We need Gilly back ASAP, he is the only strike centre in the first team squad.

Bibby had a nightmare. I thought Hankinson went really well last week and could count himself unlucky to miss out today.

Lam's selection probably caused most if not of all our problems.
Byrne and Partington should not be starting props together, one with a senior prop.
TL started which was expected but his kicking game was awful from kick one to when he was hooked after kicking out on the full. Smith should have been brought on half way through the first half. We play far better with Smith at 7 than TL.
Bibby should never have started, Lam knows the size of SKD and he ran Bibby ragged all game. Hankinson played well at Hudds and is a far bigger man than Bibby and he should have faced Dowell.

We know the problems the players had with the referee who seemed to unsettle everyone by some of his decisions which were unfathomable. With Hicks and Childs running the lines it proves three referees don't work.
An awful game to watch but two points are very welcome at this stage of the season.

Didn't realise Havard was off contract - will Wigan struggle to hold onto him with Melbourne interested?

An old pal of mine is a big Gloucester RU fan and apparently they are sniffing around Hastings. Really can’t see him going to union personally! Would love to keep him for as long as possible, such a quality player!

Havard went really well today, let’s hope he signs a new deal with us!

I’m not sure if he is off contract but if he is, then we need to get him tied down. I’d usually say lads should stay in this country until their early/mid twenties, to build a career and then go when they’re ready but this lad looks pretty special to me. I think he could go now and make the step up pretty quickly and players who look like that at 19 are pretty rare. If we can get 3 or 4 years out of him now then we’ll be doing pretty well for my money.

We need to get Ethan tied down to a 4/5 year contract quickly, every game he’s played he’s looked solid and can play 80 minutes whilst not taking a breath I think. He’s also got a big frame and will continue to grow in size which is a bonus

Partly why I just don’t see Lam being a Head Coach that leads us to glory. His selections and justification of those selections are baffling at best. Continuously picking Clubb, starting a weak HB over a strong one, starting a youthful front row when we have 3/4 senior props fully fit, Bibby v SKD, the refusal to pick Bullock despite him being one of our best props.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy for the win but we made hard work out of it like we did in the Toronto game when we shouldn’t be. I’m open to being convinced otherwise but i can’t say I’d be sad to see him go at seasons end.

Lam specifically said he’d be rotating the forwards and has said specifically it will be in the first part of the season. We’ve won 5 from 6 and played some excellent rugby at times. I’m not sure what people expect?
If he played the strongest, most experienced 17 week in week out he’d be criticised for risking burn out.
We’re going well and got loads of improvement still left in us, I’m very happy with the season so far. Bigger tests to come but so far so good.
