Yes Rogues I always thought Jones may have Wigan connections due to Leyland/Chorley, but I remember reading somewhere on this forum that apparently he doesn’t like the Wigan club and would never play for them.
It may have just been rumour and forum talk but it’s stuck with me.

That said, I’m a massive fan of his and would love him to play for us.

Didn't he say it in an interview last season that he would never play for Wigan after it was announced he was leaving Salford

Yes J WARRIORS he said it to me in Potters Bar Standish. It was when he was leaving Rugby Union and I asked him if he would come here because I rated him. He said 'never, I wouldn't play for wigan" fair enough. He is a saints lad etc etc but money talks at the end of the day

I agree. If i was a Wigan player and was let go or had the chance to return but the club didn't want me, as much as i hate Saints i wouldn't think twice about signing for them and trying to stick it to Wigan, my club or not. Personal pride would take over.
