Escare - already gone by the report this morning
Budgy - I’d let him go. Had an arrogance about him for years. Failed massively for Roosters, panicked so re-signed for us, then went on to play well for Souths and wanted to stay/ go back. Don’t use this great club as an option. His form has been bad for a few years and doesn’t look interested. I’d look at getting Tom Davies back.
Tommy - rumblings he’ll do one more year. Probably need him too if both lockers and Hastings leave.
Flower - Wolfpack bound, been a great servant but younger players have overtaken him.
Lockers - a real real shame his final year is during this situation, maybe he’ll do one more.
All off contract
Hastings with a release clause - who knows?! If he leaves we’d need a pretty impressive replacement
Gildart rumored to be going to the NRL - always amazes me how young he is, still 23! Given us 6 good years, sounds like he wants the challenge, good luck to him.
Greenwood apparently surplus to requirements - would let him go, signed as Batemans replacement so probably on a big contract.
Sharrocks - no idea how he’s still at the club, never kicked on. Can’t remember one great moment from him.
Hankinson - I like Hankinson, can cover quite a few positions, sound defensively and can kick a goal.
Total squad rebuild needed. Might not be successful for a few years. Hopefully keep all these young forwards together and grow. Give Harry Smith a starting shirt next year. And hopefully keep Bevan French for as long as possible and see how we go.
